Prep prep prep

This week has consisted of a little recording here and there but mostly prepping for some big things in the near future. I want to really delve into mixing my album at the start of November which means I have to make sure I have everything recorded, comp together everything I've recorded, and find reference tracks in order to have a better understanding of what I want each song to sound like. So far I've only completed the last thing out of those three: I put together a ton of different songs that all inspire me and my musical decisions in some way and put them into a Spotify playlist. My main inspiration with this album has been experimenting with different instrumentations, from strings to brass and winds to synths to anything! The songs I picked out for this playlist explore a wide range of different sounds and mixing techniques and I can't wait use my inspiration from these artists in my own music. 

I’ve also been getting everything together for my big album photoshoot this weekend, which will (if everything goes to plan) be a lot of fun. I dyed my hair pink, got lots of wacky accessories, and organized all my outfits. The only photoshoots I’ve ever done have been very small and casual so in comparison this will be wild! You can see a teaser of some of my accessories and a picture of me being an actual human rainbow below.

My blog editor keeps randomly deleting things, so I guess that's my cue to wrap this up! Look out for updates on my photoshoot. I'll definitely be posting about it on my other social media (links can be found at the bottom of this page)!
